A Proven Model for Success

The model for A²SE has been inspired by the success of similar groups operating on the international stage, particularly the US-based Alliance to Save Energy.

The Alliance to Save Energy has played a unique role in American energy efficiency policy making and community change processes. For over 30 years, the Alliance to Save Energy has been at the centre of energy policy debates in the USA, and has helped design, implement, and evaluate a range of domestic and international demand side and distributed energy programs.

A²SE has been created to perform similar work in Australia and acts as a facilitator and informer of the energy efficiency debate, driven by robust empirical data and research.

Through its activities, A²SE provides a critical conduit through which governments can engage consistently with the community on the imperative of energy efficiency.

A²SE uses networks to make the policy making process broader and more inclusive, to ensure that the best possible information finds its way into the hands of decision makers.

A²SE is a public company limited by guarantee.
